Can I change the contact sync type from one module to another? Yes. You can and there are no restrictions to change the module from Accounts to Accounts & its Contacts and vice versa.

However, if you want to change the sync type from Contacts Only to Account / Account and its Contacts and vice versa, you will need our assitance. We have to make changes in our end to change the sync type for you.

For instance, if you wish to change the sync type (Between Zoho Books - Zoho CRM) from Account and its Contacts to Contacts only, we can enable you to set up the sync in two ways depending upon your preference:

  • You can move all the contacts created in Zoho Books as Contacts in Zoho CRM. If you choose this, then on changing the sync, all the accounts that are pushed into Zoho Books from Zoho CRM, without any transaction created will be deleted and the accounts that has transactions will be made inactive.


  • You can push only the new contacts that are created henceforth into CRM as Contacts. If you choose this, then the newly created contacts in Zoho Books will be pushed to Zoho CRM as contacts. The link between the old contacts and the respective Account (CRM) will be removed. Thus, any transaction created for the old contact will not be pushed into Zoho CRM.
