# How can I add more fields for customers or vendors?

You can create additional fields for your customers or vendors by creating custom fields in Zoho Books. Here’s how:

*   Go to **Settings** and then **Preferences**.
*   Go to **Customers and Vendors**.
*   Navigate to the **Field Customisation** tab.
*   Click the **\+ New custom field** button in the top right corner of the page.
*   Enter the **Label Name**, **Data Type** and other necessary details.
*   Click **Save**. You can view these additional fields in your customer and vendor creation or edit pages.
