Permissions and Notifications

You can configure parameters like email settings, notifications and client permissions to track bugs and set access privileges.

Notifications

Notification pattern allows you to notify the respective project users about the bug details. You can notify the assignee, reporter or selected resources in the project. You can set the default notification pattern for bugs.

To set the notification pattern:

  1. In HOME, click Projects.
  2. In Projects list view, select the desired project.
  3. Hover the mouse pointer over Bugs and click Bug Settings from the displayed bug options.

  4. Click Notification patterns.

  5. Select the desired notification options in Assignee, Reporter and User.

Note:

  • In addition, you can also click Disable Notification link to disable all notifications, if required.

Client permissions

Client permissions allows you to set the authorization rights for the clients to view the bug details. You can set the default client permissions to view the bugs for the selected project. And you can collaborate with your clients and work on the bugs.

To set client permissions:

  1. In HOME, click Projects.
  2. In Projects list view, select the desired project.
  3. Hover the mouse pointer over Bugs and click Bug Settings from the displayed bug options.

  4. Click Client Permissions.

  5. Select the desired options in Client Permissions.
  6. Click Update to update the enabled client permission rights.

Note:

  • Bugs can be assigned to client users only when Assign external Bugs to client users is selected.

Email settings

Email settings allows you to configure an email account as a POP account.

To configure email settings:

  1. In HOME, click Projects.
  2. In Projects list view, select the desired project.
  3. Hover the mouse pointer over Bugs and click Bug Settings from the displayed bug options.

  4. Click Email Settings and then specify the mail ID in Bug Email ID.

  5. Click Update Bug Email to update the email settings. In addition, add "@pop.zohoprojects.com" ID as a forwarding address in your email account.
