Manage Bugs

The bugs view provides a consolidated view of the progress of bugs. You can view bugs as a list in List View or as Kanban cards in Kanban View.

In both the bug views you can:

Add a bug

  1. In the Projects list view, select  the desired project.
  2. Click  Bugs and then click Kanban view or List view.

  3. Click Submit Bug.
  4. Specify other bug details such as Problem Title, Problem Description and so on.
    • You can now, attach and share screenshots of any webpage or screen related to a bug using the screen-grabber option. In Drop files or add attachments here.., click the screen grab option and paste or attach the required image, and then click Done to upload the screenshot. An inbuilt draw tool lets you highlight what is important and blackout what you don’t want in the screenshot.

  5. Click Save and Add New to save the bug and add another bug.
  6. Click Save to save the bug and edit.

You can also add bugs by clicking the Submit Bug available in the kanban card.

Note: You can filter bugs based on Status, Assignee, Severity, Time, Module and Milestone.

Edit a bug

  1. In the Projects list view, select  the desired project.
  2. Click  Bugs and then click Kanban view or List view.
  3. Click to open the selected bug.

  4. Modify the bug details as required.
  5. Close the bug.

You can associate a bug to it's related task, so that it's easy to track and close the task as well as the associated bugs. Edit a bug and then, click the Tasks tab to view the associated task. Learn More.

Remote assist for bugs

The Remote Assist option is available only if the bug is assigned to you. When you click this option, it invites the bug reporter to share their screen with the assignee so that the assignee can assist better in resolving the issue.

More about the Edit Bug screen

While editing a bug, you can navigate to the next bug without leaving the page. You can also move to the next bug using the Up and Down navigation keys in the keyboard.

You can edit the bug properties such as Project Name, AssociatedMilestone, Assignto, Dueon, Status, Severity and so on. You can also move bugs from one project to another in Project Name. Once a bug is moved, all data associated with the bug is also moved. Further, you can associate the bug to a new milestone in Associated Milestone.

You can click Edit to update the bug description.

You can view the changesets of the bugs. All the changesets related to the edited bug are listed in the Changesets tab.

You can view the activity history of the edited bug. All the activities related to the bug are listed in order with their status in the Activities tab.

Clone bugs to create another copy of the bug. The Clone Bug option is available at the bottom of the Edit Bug screen.

Add followers for the bug. The Add Followers option is available at the bottom of the Edit Bug screen.

Delete a Bug

  • In the Projects list view, select  the desired project.
  • Click Bugs and then click the Kanban view or List view.
  • Click to open the selected bug.
  • Click Delete Bug at the bottom of the Edit Bug screen. bug-delete
  • A warning message about deleting the bug is displayed.
  • Click OK to delete the bug.
