What are the documents that I should send to my accountant to file my taxes?

Once you have ensured that there are no loose ends in your accounting, you can send the following documents to your accountant:

  • Financial Reports: Profit & Loss, Cashflow, and Balance Sheet.
  • Inventory Summary report (to prepare a cost of goods schedule).
  • List of capital assets activity (available in Chart of Accounts).
  • Bank and credit card statements (available in your respective bank account).
  • Mileage Expense by Employee report.

You can save the trouble of sending all of these documents to your accountant by simply inviting them as a user in Zoho Books so they can make the necessary entries and file your taxes for you. Learn more about adding users to your organization.

Note: Keep in mind that in addition to these, you may be required to provide additional documents based on the nature of your business. It is recommended that you talk to your accountant to get a complete list of all the documents that you may need.
