With new publishing options, categories, tag suggestions and more, we’re making it easier than ever to post your blogs from Writer to WordPress.
A flexible, all-in-one tool to draft your blog posts, collaborate with colleagues, and publish on WordPress—this was our goal when we first integrated Writer with WordPress. But, as with any great feature, we don’t have to stop there, right?
After listening to your requests, we got to work and now we’re back with exciting new updates to further streamline your blogging experience with Writer.
Let’s take a closer look:
Post as clean HTML
We’re introducing a new output option to give you a cleaner HTML version of your content. This option ignores font colors, font sizes and other styles in your document, making sure content posted from Writer plays well with your existing WordPress theme.
However, if you don’t have a defined WordPress theme and want to carry over the formatting style from your document directly, you can still choose to post with the inline styles intact.
Boost your SEO with title and description
You can now add the meta title and description of your blog in Writer to further boost your SEO. This will also make your blog more user-friendly and easier for your readers to navigate.
Get tag and label suggestions from Zia
Adding the right tags to your posts can drastically improve their search viability for related topics. However, we often hurry through or skip over this part to save time and end up using tags that don’t quite do justice to our article.
Zia, the AI assistant in Writer, automatically identifies the best terms to describe your blog content, then generates a relevant list of tags you can choose from.
Using Blogger instead? Don’t worry. These updates work equally well with Blogger.₁
