Switch now from your Invoicing Software to Zoho Invoice

It's makeover time in Zoho Invoice, your favorite invoicing software. Getting a makeover this time around is our dear old Import feature. We added in a zing there to help you do it with ease. By ease we mean a scene where you are lounging on your couch, sipping on some coffee (diet shake for those health junkies please) and clicking through your import.

So how did this come about?

One fine morning, one brainwave splashed past all of us. Voila! The idea to revamp the import module was born. OK, let me spill out the beans, rather than cooking up a rather "told too often" tale. We are in the process of churning out some big goodies which you would have to hold on for a while to see. In the meantime we wanted to keep you entertained with something new to feast on. Thus the makeover ;)

If you are one of those people who's deciding to migrate from a stale invoicing software which is updated once in 10 light years, to an invoicing software which gives you the best bet for your buck and at the same time stays alive and young with constant updates, then look no further. Hop on to Zoho Invoice by using our step by step import option to get the data from your old invoicing software into Zoho Invoice.

What would you see in the new import feature?

  • You'll see a beautifully organized step by step process for importing your data.

  • The option to match the fields from your old invoicing software to the fields in Zoho Invoice.

  • A forecast of what will work and what might not during your import

The all important question......

How does it work?

It works like this...............

Step 1: Select a file for importing

Step 2: Map the fields from your import file with the fields in Zoho Invoice

Step 3: Preview and START importing!

Should you try it out now?

I bet you should and once you try, don't forget to send that all crucial email to us. We always look forward to hearing from you and when we don't, we presume you like it :)

Until we have some more make-over stories to write about,

happy invoicing

  1. @Invoice Newbie, Agree with you on that. The "+" button is a refreshing idea. We'll ponder over this one and we'll try to incorporate it.

  3. I need to agree with Luke - if you're adding a new customer it only makes sense to have the ability to add all the necessary contact info. Quick entry forms are great when you've already got the data to pull...but when you're create a new account, I'd think most businesses would want to add the address and other contact info as you create it. At the very least, I'd like to see some kind of "pop-down" list -- a "+" button that would simply slide open and allow me to add all of the necessary contact info from the quick entry screen.

  5. @Oliver, taking the integration between Zoho Invoice and Zoho CRM to the next level is on our agenda too. You'll see an update on this very very soon.@ Ifjaramilloc, unable to quote a date at this point in time. Sorry!

  7. @ Luke, Agree with you on that. The option to add a customer and enter every detail pertaining to the customer at the time of creating an invoice sounds good. We kept the "New Customer" pop up simple. If we hear customers like yourself voicing for the option to add more information, we would be glad to incorporate that.

  11. Ok, you talk about "importing customer data" but which data are imported? I can't see in Zoho Invoice the public emails that I can see in Zoho CRM related to customers.

  13. This is really far from what everybody needs. Why isn't it all in one single database?! Why is it about importing/exporting and not just synchronizing or, even better and once again, just one single database. When I'm in Salesforce or Google Apps, I don't have to specify that I want to import my contacts from one module to another one.And by the way, many other providers have been offering Google Contacts synchronization with their own service for a while: why is that still impossible with Zoho CRM?

  15. Still doesn't go far enough. Invoice and CRM should be totally integrated, currently you need to import, and re-import details. Both services should be working from the same accounts db. This should also be an auto-complete search list too under invoices, Select Customers. One change I would really like to see done very soon, is the New Customer popup, when creating an Invoice. Why can you not enter the business address here, currently you can only enter Business, First Name, Last Name, Email. Every invoice a business sends normally needs their business address too. This greatly slows up my issuing of invoices. As I first have to add them as a customer, than go back in and create an invoice.

  17. Including an "Invoice Now" button on the Potential's screen in Zoho CRM does sound like an interesting idea. We'll consider incorporating this in the integration. Thanks to you for suggesting this.

Integrating with Zoho CRM is of high priority to us and we are working on this at the moment. But to begin with, we'll be supporting the option to seamlessly import invoices, estimates, items in addition to customers and contacts(which are available now).Importing sales orders may take a while.
    Thanks

  29. Um, not to be picky about it, but "once in 10 light years" is still ten earth years, the term being an expression of both speed and time.Nonetheless, thanks for the update and upgrade!

  35. Ok that solves one of my dilemmas: I would like to use CRM for as much as possible, at the minimum up to the sales order level. Once the sales order is complete this can currently auto fill an invoice in CRM. I would like to import the sales order into Zoho Invoice or ideally have it run through the API. Then I want to see the invoices related to the customer in CRM.I will test this and let you know what options I come up with.
