Bigin vs Act! CRM:
Everything you need to know.
It's not often that CRM makers create a whole new CRM exclusively for small businesses. This is mostly because they believe it's easier to sell their existing CRMs to small businesses with reduced features.
Yet, both Zoho and Act! have created entirely new CRMs for small businesses.
However, Bigin wins hands down. Read on to find out why.
Does Act CRM really make
growth easy?
Act! CRM has been in the business of contact management for over 33 years now. They started out as an on-premise CRM provider firmly and continued this model well into the cloud era, but eventually made the switch to cloud-based CRMs.
Their CRM for small businesses, called "Act 365" is, in effect, a skeletal edition of Act! CRM's enterprise editions and it is, quite frankly, a glorified address book with little to none of their automated features, priced at $9 a month, and limited to a single user. Act 365 misses out on prime features like pipeline management, integrations, analytics, and many more, forcing small businesses to opt for a higher package if they want modern CRM functionality.
Clearly, Bigin's competition would appear to be Act 365. However, the Act! CRM Starter edition, a more expensive version, also happens to lack too many features that it only seems logical to stack it up against Bigin as well.
At $25 /user/month, you would expect the Act! CRM Starter to at least be available for mobile but no, a "desktop-only" application with a single pipeline and lacklustre support is all you get, which is barely any upgrade.
How Bigin is simply better
Bigin is designed to be efficient, comprehensive, and most importantly, pocket-friendly to help small businesses get the most out of their CRM. Sure, Act! used to sound convenient with the Office 365 integration back in the day, but who doesn't integrate with MS Office now? We'll do you one better. Bigin seamlessly integrates with both MS Office and Google Suite!
Bigin does all this and more at a mere $7 per month per user. It has a solid customer pipeline feature-set catering to the day-to-day needs of small businesses and their customer-facing teams.

What the early adopters say
We were so impressed by Bigin’s ‘perfect fit’ for small organizations and we have now consolidated all information about our clients and projects in Bigin. It's impressive to see that such an affordable product helps in managing duplication of records, customizing fields specific to our processes, providing dashboards to manage the performance of emails, and even linking up with the Twitter accounts of our clients. I am super impressed with Bigin. I was looking for a simpler lead management and automation tool and I have finally arrived at the right platform after trying multiple tools in the last few years. It has completely transformed the sales process and I regularly recommend Bigin to my contacts.
I want to sincerely thank the entire Bigin Team for developing this excellent platform for SMBs who are quite keen on getting rid of excel datasheets. My primary requirement was exactly the same, and Bigin has offered so much more. This has increased the overall productivity of my sales team, and I have already recommended Bigin to friends in different sectors.
I found Bigin extremely easy to learn and utilise. I was bit scared if my assistants will able to learn it quickly. But to my surprise they have started using fully within 2 weeks of time. Mobile apps and its connectivity with server is superb and quick.
