BusinessNZ Council holds successful election conference and survey online with Zoho Backstage

The company

The BusinessNZ Council, BusinessNZ's governance body, guides and contributes to policy development through consultation with thousands of member businesses. More than a hundred of New Zealand's largest companies are active members of BusinessNZ's Major Companies Group (MCG). Together they account for a large portion of New Zealand's GDP, bringing a collective weight of influence that enables MCG to provide strong counsel to government and other key decision makers.

Together with Deloitte and Chapman Tripp, BusinessNZ Council hosted an election conference and survey.

The challenge

Initially, BusinessNZ Council was looking for something to help them manage and run events and without needing the technical knowledge of product development. During the evaluation, their main requirement was finding a comprehensive tool that could manage event ticketing and help them build an event website without having to write a single line of code, all while spending mindfully. After the long planning process, the COVID-19 changed things. What started off as an in-person event had to be converted to a live virtual event.
