Retry Settings
Recurring payments may occasionally fail due to reasons such as insufficient funds, expired cards, or bank declines. To improve payment recovery, Zoho Checkout automatically retries the payment thrice. In this section, you can configure the intervals at which retry attempts should be made.
To schedule retry intervals:
- Go to Settings and select Retry Settings.
- Enter the interval between each retry and choose whether to notify the customer by email when a payment attempt fails.
- Click the Email icon to customize the email template.
Note: Failed recurring payments will be listed as Past Due until one of the retry attempts succeeds or all retry attempts are exhausted.
- Select whether to notify the customer after all retry attempts fail.
- Choose either Unpaid or Cancelled as the status for the recurring payment after all retries have failed.
- Click Save.
The retry settings will be configured.
