Zoho Assist Desktop Plugin

The desktop plugin helps you quickly launch a remote support or unattended session right from your desktop. You don't need to navigate to the website each time you use Zoho Assist. This feature makes setting up the desktop plugin simple and convenient.

Installing the Desktop Plugin

Steps

  • Log in to your account using your Zoho Assist credentials.
  • Click the Download icon present at the top right corner of the homepage.
  • Choose the app for the required operating system under Desktop Apps for Technician (Remote Support and Unattended Access).
  • Double click the downloaded Zoho Assist installer file.
  • Once the configuration is complete, the Zoho Assist login window will open in the desktop plugin.
  • Log in using your credentials.

Now you can start using Zoho Assist as you would in a browser.

Switching Data Center

By default, the desktop plugin signs you in through the Global Server. During sign-in, it checks whether your credentials exist across data centers and connects you accordingly.

However, since Data Center Localization is disabled for the China (CN) and UAE data centers, accounts hosted on these data centers will not be detected automatically, users must manually switch to their respective data center before signing in.

Note: If you sign in on the wrong/incorrect data center, you may see an error: "This account does not exist." In this case, go to Application > Data Center and switch to the correct server. For all data centers other than CN and UAE, switch back to Global Server.

Steps to Switch Your Data Center

  • Open the Zoho Assist desktop plugin.
  • Click Application in the top menu bar.
  • Hover over Data Center.
  • Select your data center from the submenu:
    • Global Server (default): For accounts on the Global (COM) data center.
    • China Server: For accounts on the CN data center.
    • UAE Server: For accounts on the UAE data center.

  • The plugin will reload and redirect you to the sign in page for the selected data center.
  • Log in using your credentials.
