Windows Native Client Technician Console
Windows Native Client is a native application that works only for Windows. This section explains the functionalities of the Windows Native Client Technician Console. A lightweight download is required at your end to initiate a session. It enables the technician to access a remote customer's computer.

Session Functionalities
Share My Screen
This feature enables you to share your screen with the customer. It can be helpful when you want to demonstrate a process or a software program.
Invite Technician
You can invite another technician from your organization account to an ongoing session using this feature. This is helpful when you need assistance to resolve an issue. Zoho Assist provides three options to invite a co-technician to help you with the ongoing session.
Choose Monitor
This feature is enabled only if your customer has multiple monitors connected to their computer. All monitors connected to the customer's computer will be displayed when you click Choose Monitor. You can select the desired monitor to deliver remote support.
Enable Remote Audio
The Remote Audio feature allows technicians to listen to audio from their customer's remote device during support sessions for efficient troubleshooting.
Send Clipboard Keystrokes
With the Send Clipboard Keystrokes feature, technicians can copy and paste passwords in the respective fields during an active remote support session.
Remote Print
Remote Print allows you to use your local printer to print documents on the remote computer you are accessing. Remote printer drivers are installed on the remote computer when this feature is used for the first time. Once installed, open the file and use Ctrl+P to print it.
Elevate to Admin Mode
Elevate to Admin Mode enables you to run Zoho Assist as a service on the remote computer, providing administrator-level privileges.
Give Up Control
The Give Up Control feature allows the technician to switch the remote session to view-only mode.
Send Ctrl+Alt+Del
Zoho Assist allows you to send the Windows key combination Ctrl+Alt+Del to the remote computer with a single click. This helps you access the Task Manager, change the login password, or log off the remote computer.
Lock Computer
The technician can lock the remote computer at any point during an active remote session.
Reboot
You can reboot the remote computer using this feature. It is useful when a reboot is required after installing new software or hardware. The remote computer automatically reconnects to the session after restarting.
Safe Mode Reboot
You can reboot and troubleshoot the remote computer in safe mode with this feature. The remote computer reconnects automatically to the session after logging in.
Chat
Once the customer joins the session, you can interact with them using the chat window built into the console. This helps you guide customers through installations or troubleshooting.
File Transfer
Using this feature, you can transfer files or patches to the remote computer and also receive files from your remote customers. The file transfer window shows transfer progress and allows drag-and-drop functionality.
Screenshot
This feature allows you to capture screenshots during a remote session. It’s useful for storing important information or sharing specific screens with the customer for future reference.
Tools
The Tools section provides the following functionalities:
Size
- Actual Size: Displays the remote screen in its original dimensions.
- Fit to Screen: Stretches the remote screen to the full width and height of your console window.
- Retain Aspect Ratio: Displays the remote screen while maintaining its aspect ratio (default setting).
- Best Fit: Resizes and scales the remote screen while maintaining display quality.
Image Quality
- 100%: Shows the remote screen in true color.
- 75%: Displays the remote screen in 16-bit color.
- 50%: Displays the remote screen in 8-bit color.
- 25%: Displays the remote screen in 4-bit color.
- Automatic: Adjusts the image quality automatically based on network speed.
Blank Screen
This feature prevents the remote user from viewing what is happening on their screen during a remote session, protecting sensitive data. Available only on Windows systems.
Disable Remote Input
This feature locks the remote keyboard and mouse to prevent local input during a remote session. Available only on Windows systems.
