The company
Founded in 2010, Actility is a global provider of IoT connectivity platforms and network infrastructure solutions. Headquartered in France, the company supports enterprise-grade deployments in sectors like energy, logistics, agriculture, and smart infrastructure. Actility has a strong global presence across Europe, North America, and the APAC region.
The challenge
The company employs around 130 people, with a 30-member IT operations team distributed across different sites. They needed a powerful analytics solution to keep up with its growing infrastructure and customer operations. The IT team initially depended on NetSuite ERP and later evaluated Microsoft Power BI for reporting and analytics. However, both platforms fell short in flexibility, scalability, and ease of use.

The solution
After evaluating multiple BI platforms, the IT team chose Zoho Analytics for its flexibility, advanced API capabilities, and powerful custom analytical capabilities. While the SaaS version worked initially, data scale and cost concerns led them to adopt the on-prem edition for greater control and performance.
