# How do I add placeholders to my template?

You can add a placeholder to your templates while creating a new template or while editing an existing one.

*   Go to _Settings_, navigate to _Integrations & Marketplace_, and click **WhatsApp**.
*   Select any module under _Message Templates_.
*   Click **\+ New Template** or under _More_, click **Edit** to add placeholders to an existing template.
*   Click the drop-down next to _Insert Placeholders_ and select the required ones.
