Setting Up your Organization

In this section, you can enter basic information of your organization such as address, contact information, etc. This information is automatically fetched when you create estimates and invoices.


Setting up your Organization Profile

You can configure the details of your organization name, address, business location, currency and so on. Here’s how:

Organization Profile

In the Organization Profile page, you will come across the following fields:

Fields Description
Company Logo The logo you upload here will be reflected in all your documents such as estimates, invoices, bills etc. Click the Upload your logo button, select the image file and upload it.
Organization Name You can edit your organization name that entered during while setting up your zoho books account.
Portal URL You can configure settings related to the Client Portal, by clicking on Change Portal Settings. You will be able to change the portal name, enter a banner message, enable email notification of every client portal activity and allow customers to forward documents from the portal.
Industry Select the industry type to which your business belongs.
Business Location Choose the country in which you do business.
Company Address Provide a detailed postal address along with other contact details such as phone number, website etc. You can add a separate address for receiving your payments as well.
Primary Contact Change or edit the primary contact’s name and email address entered during quick set-up. If you wish to have multiple email addresses for an organization, click on Configure Emails and select +Add Additional Contact. Enter the Name and Email Address of the user you wish to add and click Save. Primary Contact
Fiscal Year Select the time period that your company uses for accounting purposes and preparing financial transactions.
Report Basis Choose Cash if the revenue of your company is accounted when cash is received. Choose Accural if revenue for your company is accounted when it is earned and not physically received.
Language Choose the language in which your Zoho Books account is displayed.
Time Zone It is set by default based on the ‘Business Location’ that you have selected. You can change it by selecting the time zone in which your business operates.
Date Format Select the date format relevant in your country or specific to your business.

Adding a New Organization

Zoho Books gives you the option of adding multiple organizations to your account. This way you can manage your various business accounts under a single Zoho Books login and get a comparative view of the financial health of your group of companies.
