[Back](./) # How do I bill customers in a different currency without enabling exchange rates? If your organization’s base currency is different from your customer’s currency, you can use pricelists to bill them in their currency directly without setting up exchange rate. **Scenario:** Your organization's base currency is INR, but a customer pays in USD. You can create a USD pricelist, set item prices in USD, and associate it with that customer. All transactions for this customer will then be raised in USD. Here’s how to set this up: ### Create a pricelist in the customer’s currency * Go to **Price Lists** under _Product Catalog_. * Click **New**. * Set the currency to the customer’s currency (for example, USD). * Add your items and enter their prices in that currency. * Click **Save**. ### Associate the pricelist with the customer * Go to **Customers**. * Select the customer to whom you want to associate the pricelist. * Click **Edit** at the top. * Under _Other Details_, select the pricelist you just created from the **Pricelist** dropdown. * Click **Save**. Once done, this pricelist will be applied by default whenever a transaction is created for that customer.
