Mail Server Settings

The email channel in Zoho Support had transitioned from POP fetch model to the forwarding type, effective 24th Oct 2013. You're now required to configure email forwarding in your mail server and not in Zoho Support. Go here to learn more about forwarding emails to your helpdesk.

Note:

  • Zoho Support will deprecate the POP fetch model of adding support tickets before the end of January 2014.
  • If your mail server follows the POP fetch model, you're requested to migrate to the forwarding type at the earliest.
  • In lieu of this, Zoho Support will not allow you to add POP accounts anymore. However you can edit/delete your existing POP accounts besides pausing or resuming mail fetch.

Stopping Mail Fetch

You can stop the mail-fetch process for your POP accounts added in Zoho Support.

To stop fetching e-mails, follow the steps given below:

  1. Click Setup
  2. In the Channels section, click Email
  3. In the Mail Server Settings page, click Stop Fetch available next to a POP account to stop fetching emails

You need to click Start Fetch to resume fetching emails for a POP account.

Editing POP Accounts

To edit POP accounts added in Zoho Support, follow the steps given below:

  1. Click Setup
  2. In the Channels section, click Email
  3. In the Mail Server Settings page, click Edit available next to the POP account that you intend to edit
  4. Make the required changes and click Save

Deleting POP Accounts

To delete POP accounts added in Zoho Support, follow the steps given below:

  1. Click Setup
  2. In the Channels section, click Email
  3. In the Mail Server Settings page, click Delete available next to the POP account that you intend to delete
  4. Click OK to confirm the deletion
