Marking a candidate as a "Hot Candidate" is the best way to tag active candidates. This helps you to organize all active candidates and improves your hit rates, while contacting the candidate for hiring process. Similarly you can tag the Job openings that need to be worked on top priority.
To tag candidates as hot:

Click Candidates tab.

Select a candidate or bulk of candidates.

Click Select actions and select "Mark as hot" from the drop down list.
- Click Yes.
