Move / Delete files

Zoho Projects allows you to browse and upload your files from your personal desktop, Zoho Docs and Google Docs. You can upload any file type like *.jpg, *.png, *.doc, *.docx, *.ppt, *.xls, *.csv, *.mpeg, *.zip, *.mpeg, *.wmv etc.

Upload latest version of a file

In Documents tab, mouseover on a particular file displays file action menu

  1. Select Upload latest version option from the menu
  2. This displays the Upload latest version form
  3. Choose the latest version of this file
  4. Type a description for this upload
  5. Select Send notifications to member(s) about the document being uploaded : option to notify others
  6. Click Upload Document icon

This uploads the latest version of the file with a new version number i,e if the previous version is 1.1 means the latest one is stored with a version number 1.2.

Move a file

You need to store files related to a particular module all in one folder. For Eg: All marketing related files needs to be stored under Marketing folder. For this move file option comes handy.

  1. Choose Move File option from the menu
  2. This displays the Move File form
  3. Select the destination folder for the file
  4. Click Move File icon

That's it. The file is moved to the destination folder

Delete a file

  1. Choose Delete File option from the menu
  2. Select the Bulk Delete checkbox or select a particular file
  3. Click Delete File link

This deletes the selected file forever from the project workspace.

Sort by filenames

Mouseover on the filenames column to sort the files in ascending / descending order.
