Move / Delete files

Zoho Projects allows you to browse and upload your files from your personal desktop, Zoho Docs and Google Docs. You can upload any file type like *.jpg, *.png, *.doc, *.docx, *.ppt, *.xls, *.csv, *.mpeg, *.zip, *.mpeg, *.wmv etc.

Upload latest version of a file

In Projects, select the required project and click the Documents tab. Hover the mouse over the version number of the desired file and then click Click to view Version Details.

In the displayed page, click Upload Latest Version, choose the latest file to upload and then click Upload Document to upload the latest file version.

This uploads the latest version of the file with its new version number. If the previous version is 1.1, the latest one is stored as 1.2.

Move a file

You need to store files related to a particular module all in one folder. For Example: All marketing related files needs to be stored under Marketing folder. For this, the move file option comes handy.

In Projects, select the required project and click the Documents tab. Hover the mouse over the version number of the desired file and then click Click to view Version Details.

Click the folder name displayed beneath the document name, and select the required folder to move the file.

Delete a file

In Projects, select the required project and click the Documents tab. Hover the mouse over the version number of the desired file and then click Click to view Version Details.

  • Hover the mouse near Upload Latest Version and then click Delete File to delete the selected file.

Sort files

In Projects, select the required project and click the Documents tab. Hover the mouse over the version number of the desired file and then click Click to view Version Details.Click the Document arrow to sort files based on Descending or Ascending order.

Move/Delete bulk files

You can update multiple files simultaneously. You can choose to move multiple documents from one folder to another or delete multiple files. In Projects, select the required project and click the Documents tab. Select the check box next to any file to enable the Update option, and then choose to move or delete the document (s) individually or in bulk.

Note:

  • To perform bulk updates either to move or delete all files, select the Document check box.
