Associate with Tasks

Zoho Projects allows you to associate documents, forums, notes, add useful links etc for a task. Furthermore, there is option to delete associated documents/forums and notes.

Associate documents

You may fix some UI issues and need to associate documents to highlight the usability issues through various screen captures.

  1. Mouseover the task name and click the Action button displayed to the left of the task name
  2. Select Add Note option from the drop-down list
  3. Click Associate Documents tab
  4. Select the folder, required file and click Associate Document button

Note: The files uploaded in the Documents section will only be listed.

Associate Document(s)

To upload a file directly to a task, follow the steps mentioned below

  1. Click the task title for which the file has to be uploaded
  2. In the Task Details page, click the New Documents link displayed under the Associated Documents section
  3. Click the Click Here option that is displayed just below the Associate Documents button and upload the file

To delete an associated document:

  1. Click on yellow colored notes icon present near a task
  2. A dialog box pops up with associated documents
  3. Mouseover displays a trash Delete icon
  4. Click trash icon to delete the associated documents

Associate forums

You would've added a series of tasks initially and later will feel like rearranging them based on your project requirements.

  1. Click notes icon which opens up a dialog box
  2. Click Associate forums tab
  3. Choose a category which lists forum topics
  4. Select a topic and click Associate Forum icon

  2. A dialog box pops up with associated documents
  3. Mouseover displays a trash Delete icon
  4. Click trash icon to delete associated forums

Add / Edit and Delete Notes

If you wish to add some important note for a task like providing some references, useful links, site urls etc then Add Note comes option comes handy.

  1. Click notes icon present near a task
  2. A dialog box opens up
  3. Type in your required notes
  4. Click Add Notes icon to adds your notes

We've provided options to edit as well as delete note(s) added for a task

To edit note(s) :

  1. Click yellow colored notes icon and this opens up notes panel
  2. Mouseover to find the edit icon
  3. Click edit icon. This opens up Update notes panel with contents
  4. Make required changes and click Update Note icon

  2. Mouseover to find the trash Delete icon
  3. Click trash icon to delete notes
