PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Zoho today announced that it has integrated Google Docs with Zoho CRM, Zoho Mail, Zoho Docs and Zoho Projects. The move builds on the work Zoho has already done to integrate Zoho Projects with Google Apps, and effectively makes Google Docs another document source for people who use Google’s storage, as well as Zoho applications like Zoho CRM, Zoho Mail, Zoho Docs and Zoho Projects. A slide show tour of the Zoho applications and Google Docs integration is available at http://tinyurl.com/zoho-google-integration.
"We have many Google and Google Apps users using Zoho Business Apps, and integration between Zoho and Google Apps is one of the most requested features," said Raju Vegesna, Zoho evangelist.
"We previously integrated Zoho and Google Apps at the sign-on level. Now, we are taking the integration to the application level. We will continue to integrate with Google Apps further."
While attaching files from Google Docs, users will be presented with a dialog box that lists all files from Google Docs. Options are also available to view only Documents, Spreadsheets and Presentations. Users can also search for files in the dialog and attach them to the appropriate Zoho application.
The integration of Google Docs with the Zoho online applications includes unified login support. This means if you login to Zoho using Google credentials, you'll be able to see your Google Docs directly without having to login again to attach the documents to respective Zoho services.
Once Google Docs are uploaded to Zoho, users can work with them in the context of the Zoho applications, e.g., documents attached to a customer account in Zoho CRM can be viewed/edited using Zoho Writer.
Currently, Google Docs is integrated with Zoho CRM, Zoho Mail, Zoho Docs, and Zoho Projects — the company’s online project management and team collaboration application. Going forward, Google Docs integration will be extended to other Zoho applications as appropriate.
