PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Zoho today announced Zoho Chat 2.0, the latest version of the company’s online instant messaging software. Highlighted by multi-protocol support, Zoho Chat 2.0 lets users chat with members on Yahoo!, Google, MSN, AIM, ICQ, and Jabber-based IM networks.
"Chat is an important messaging system that complements our productivity and business applications. It is the common thread that ties together different Zoho Applications," said Raju Vegesna, Zoho evangelist.
"With multi-protocol support in Chat 2.0, Zoho users can chat with members of other IM networks and continue their conversations no matter which Zoho application they are in. There are many IM clients that let you chat with users of other IM networks. However, the uniqueness of Zoho Chat 2.0 is that it ties into all Zoho Apps making messaging a part of your workflow and making you more productive."
At Web 2.0 Expo, Zoho will be in Expo Hall, Booth #829, showcasing the latest additions to its Zoho Office Suite and Zoho Chat 2.0. The show is being held March 31-April 3, 2009 at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco.
With the latest version of Zoho Chat, users can automatically log into Yahoo!, Google, MSN, AIM, ICQ, and Jabber-based IM networks and chat with those users. Zoho Chat 2.0 has Zoho Meeting integrated to instantly start a meeting and share the desktop with users from other IM networks with a single click. Chat 2.0 also lets users send files to other Zoho users.
