Share A File As A Link

You can share a document as link with an organization, or only certain users in the organization, or with anyone outside the organization, i.e a non-Zoho user.

To share a document as a link to certain members of the organization:

To share a document as a link to certain members of the orgnaization

      1. Select the check box next to the document you want to share and click on the Share button present in the toolbar.
      2. A dialog box with heading Share Settings will appear on the screen.
      3. The default option for Document Visibility will be set at Private
      4. Click on the change link next to Private option
      5. All the other sharing options will be listed
      6. Select the radio button next to the Anyone with the link within Organization option if you want to share the document with select users in the organization
      7. Click on the Save button
      8. Zoho Docs will automatically generate a link for the document
      9. Select the Can Read/Write check box if you want to allow the users to edit the document
      10. The user will receive an email and also be notified in the Zoho Docs home page when the document is shared.

To share a document as a link with the whole organization:

To share a document as a link with the whole orgnaization

      1. Select the check box next to the document you want to share and click on the Share button present in the toolbar.
      2. A dialog box with heading Share Settings will appear on the screen.
      3. The default option for Document Visibility will be set at Private
      4. Click on the change link next to Private option
      5. All the other sharing options will be listed
      6. Select the radio button next to the Everyone in Organization option if you want to share the document with the whole organization
      7. Click on the Save button
      8. Zoho Docs will automatically generate a link for the document
      9. Select the Can Read/Write check box if you want to allow the users to edit the document
      10. The user will receive an email and also be notified in the Zoho Docs home page when the document is shared.

To share a document as a link with a non-zoho user:

To share a document as a link with a non-zoho user

      1. Select the check box next to the document you want to share and click on the Share button present in the toolbar.
      2. A dialog box with heading Share Settings will appear on the screen.
      3. The default option for Document Visibility will be set at Private
      4. Click on the change link next to Private option
      5. All the other sharing options will be listed
      6. Select the radio button next to the Anyone with the link in internet if you want to share the document with any non-zoho user
      7. Select the Password Protected check box if you want to make the document accessible only to those with the password to the document
      8. Click on the Save button
      9. Zoho Docs will automatically generate a link for the document
      10. The user will receive an email and also be notified in the Zoho Docs home page when the document is shared

Note*: If a user wants the password for the password protected document, they will have to contact you privately, to get the password.
