Zoho CRM Contextual Gadget for Gmail

Zoho CRM Contextual Gadget for Gmail enables you to interact with your Zoho CRM account from within Gmail. With this gadget you can add the details of the sender as a contact or lead in your CRM account. You can also add related notes, tasks, and potentials for the Lead or Contact. By using this gadget you can save time by managing your Leads or Contacts while reading emails.

Availability

Profile Permission Required: All Zoho CRM users of the Google domain can use this gadget in Gmail.

Enable Zoho CRM Contextual Gadget for Gmail

The Contextual Gadget for Gmail will be visible in your Gmail only if your Google Apps Domain Administrator enables it.

To enable Zoho CRM Contextual Gadget for Gmail

  1. Go to www.google.com/apps, sign in with your domain name and go to Domain Management.
  2. Log in to Google Apps domain with the super administrator's privileges.
  3. From the dashboard, click Enable Service for Zoho CRM.
    Zoho CRM's Contextual Gadget for Gmail will be enabled for your domain users.

Add Leads or Contacts from Gmail to Zoho CRM

To search the contact from Gmail

  1. Sign in to your Google domain and open Gmail.
  2. Click to open the Email message in your Gmail inbox.
    Zoho CRM's contextual gadget for Gmail will be a part of the message.
  3. Click Go to search if the email address of the sender exists in your CRM account.

    • If the email address is already added as a lead or contact in your CRM account, you can view the details.
      You can also add tasks, notes and potentials from within the email message.
    • If the email address is not added as a lead or contact, you can add it to your CRM account.
      You can also add tasks, notes and potentials from within the email message.

To add a lead or contact

  1. Select Lead or Contact from the drop-down list.
  2. Click Add now.
  3. Enter the (Lead or Contact) details in the Quick Create form.
  4. Click Save.
    The lead or contact will be added to your Zoho CRM account.

Add Notes and Tasks to Lead or Contact

You can add notes and tasks to the leads or contacts from within the Gmail message and it will be automatically updated in your CRM account. Please note that the notes and tasks once added, can be updated or deleted only in Zoho CRM.

To add notes and tasks to the lead or contact

  1. Open the Email message in your Gmail inbox.
  2. In the Zoho CRM contextual Gadget, click Go.


    The existing tasks and notes details, if any, will be available.
    • Click Add > Task and enter the task details.
    • Click Add > Note and enter the note details.
  3. Click Save.

Add Potentials to Contact

You can add potentials to the contacts from within the Gmail message and it will be automatically updated in your CRM account. Please note that the potentials once added, can be updated or deleted only in Zoho CRM.

To add a potential to the contact

  1. Open the relevant Email message in your Gmail inbox.
  2. In the Zoho CRM contextual Gadget, click Go.
    The existing potential details, if any, will be available.
  3. Click Add > Potential and enter the potential details.

  4. Click Save.
