The Version 1.0 Zoho CRM APIs were deprecated on Dec 31, 2018, and will reach their end-of-life(EOL) on Jan 31, 2020, for the Professional and above editions. The EOL for the Free and Standard/Starter editions is Jan 15, 2020. We strongly recommend you migrate to the new and improved API 2.0.

Zoho Service Communication Key

Communication between Zoho services is important for proper management of information. The Zoho Service Communication Key (ZSC) enables to fetch data stored in Zoho CRM from other Zoho services.

You need the ZSC Key and your email id to integrate your CRM account with any of the Zoho services such as,

  • Zoho Recruit
  • Zoho Support
  • Zoho Campaigns
  • Zoho Projects
  • Zoho Invoice
  • Zoho Books
  • Zoho Desk

Note:

  • Only users with the Administrator's profile can generate the Zoho Service Communication key from Zoho CRM.

 To generate ZSC Key in Zoho CRM

  1. Log in to Zoho CRM with Administrator's privileges.
  2. Go to Setup > Developer Space  > APIs > Zoho Service Communication (ZSC) Key
  3. Click Generate Now.
    The ZSC Key will be generated.

Note:

  • You have to enter both the Email ID of Zoho CRM's administrator and the ZSC key generated in the other Zoho services to access data from Zoho CRM.
  • The Zoho Service Communication key becomes invalid when the user who generated the key is deactivated in your Zoho CRM account or when the ZSC key is regenerated.

 To regenerate ZSC Key in Zoho CRM

  1. Log in to Zoho CRM with Administrator's privileges.
  2. Click Settings > Setup > Developer Space > APIs > Zoho Service Communication (ZSC) Key
  3. Click Generate a New Key.
    The new key will be generated.

Note:

  • The old ZSC key will be deleted when you create a new key.
