Bank & Credit Card Transaction Feeds

Zoho Books can be set up to receive automatic feeds for all your banking and credit card transactions. On this page we detail out how this works.

How to set up bank feeds?

Set up a virtual bank account in Zoho Books to represent your actual bank account. At the time of setting up the account, make sure that you select the registered name of your bank from the Bank Name list. You can either choose to configure feeds right away or manually add the bank and configure feeds later on.

You can create a bank account from the Banking tab of the Zoho Books. On the right hand side of the page, select New Bank Account. Select your bank name as shown in the image below. If you don't find your bank's name there, it means that Zoho Books is not supporting feeds for your bank at this point in time.

You can choose the Bank Name from the drop down list and go about configuring it to receive feeds.

To configure feeds for an already existing bank account, just move your mouse over the bank account for which you would like to set up feeds. Click the cog wheel as shown in the image below and select the Configure Feeds option.

In the next screen, you need to enter your credentials to configure your bank or credit card account.

Zoho Books now displays the accounts that are associated with the credentials that you had entered. From the list of accounts shown there, pick the specific account for which you would like to set up the feeds. You also get to select the period or date for which the transaction history is to be downloaded. Select the appropriate options and click confirm.

Refreshing Feeds

If there's a transaction you had made now and you don't see that in Zoho Books, you can use the refresh feeds option. However, you must make sure that your online banking credentials entered in Zoho Books are up-to-date. If it isn't, then your accounting may be locked while being refreshed.

How to update banking credentials?

It is important to have your bank credentials updated in Zoho Books. If this isn't done, Zoho Books will cease from receiving feeds. To update your credentials, click the update credentials link.
