New to Zoho Books?
The basic and only requirement to access any Zoho service is a Zoho account. Setting up a Zoho account takes only a minute.

Signing up for a Zoho account
The sign up process takes just about a minute and there is no credit card or any financial details required; an email address is mandatory though. Here's how you can sign up for a Zoho account.
- Visit the sign up page at https://books.zoho.com/signup
- Enter your email address. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address entered here. If unverified for more than 7 days. Your Zoho account will be locked. Just so, we have no unnecessary accounts maintained on our servers, giving genuine users like yourself more server space.
Type in a password for your Zoho account. The requisites are:
- The password must be between 3 and 60 characters in length
- It must contain both alphabets, numbers and special characters
- There must be at the least one alphabet in the uppercase in your password
- Once you are done entering the email address and the password and confirming it, go on to enter the text in the verification image.
- Agree to Zoho's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Check if you would like to subscribe to the Zoho newsletter.
- Click the Sign Up Now button to complete signing up. You will now be directed to setting up your company's details in Zoho Books. At sign up, your account will be free for trial for a period of 30 days.
System requirements for using Zoho Books
You can use Zoho Books on any computer that allows you to browse internet. So just a web browser and a Zoho login will do.
We support the following browsers:

3. Safari (Version 4.0 and above)
4. Chrome (Version 3.0 and above)

Accessing via Google, Yahoo and Facebook accounts
To make things much easier, we also support setting up Zoho Books accounts with your Google, Yahoo and Facebook credentials. To sign in using either one of these options:
- Visit https://www.zoho.com/books/login.html
- On the sign in grid that comes up, please click the Google, Yahoo or Facebook icon, whichever credential you would like to set up an account with.
- Based on what is clicked, enter the credentials and go ahead with signing in.
Zoho Books & Google apps: single sign on
Zoho Books was introduced for the Google apps marketplace at launch. This means, you can access Zoho Books on a single sign on mode from your Google apps account; import your Google users and contacts into Zoho Books and use the Zoho Books contextual gadget for Gmail. Once you have Zoho Books installed to your Google apps domain, you wouldn't need to sign in to Zoho Books and Google. Sign in to your Google account and access Zoho Books from the universal navigation. See the steps below to know what we are talking about:
- Sign in to your Google apps account as an admin user.
- Visit Google's apps marketplace at http://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace/
- Search for Zoho Books in the marketplace and click Zoho Books in the search result.
- On the Zoho Books app description page, click the Add it now button.
- Enter your domain name.
- Grant data access and enable the application.
- Click the sign in option above to sign in to Zoho Books.
- Enter in a username and password.
- Set up a new organization and get started.
